St. Patty's Day Garland
Living in an apartment I do not have much space to store holiday decorations. I wanted to put away our winter decor and spice up the space we have for March after this hectic snowy-cold winter season we are having.
I was at my local Dollar Tree and picked up foam shamrock shapes. They were perfect sized and came in different colors. A kelly green, light green and one glittery one! Used some ribbon and twine laying around in my studio and made a little St. Patty's Day Garland to hang out our entertainment/shelving center.
Supplies:
- foam shamrocks
- twine or ribbon (or both!)
- hot glue gun
- green felt
Step 1- figure out how you would like to arrange your foam shamrocks. Flip them over so the back is facing upright. Measure your ribbon to the length of your garland. It can be whatever length you'd like it to be. Mine is
Step 2: lay a line of hot glue on the back of your shamrocks (individually) and then lay your ribbon on top. Do this until all shamrocks are attached.
Step 3: to ensure that the hot glue does not pull away from the foam shape cut a small piece of felt and glue over the ribbon so that its adhered to both the shape and around ribbon.
Step 4: tie knots on the end and hang! :)
I had a few left over shamrocks and scattered them on our sofa table around our framed photos and added a little more festivity to our place!
