Last Spring I was fortunate to attend a field trip to the Philadelphia Zoo and snap a gorgeous photo of Emma the leopard. I have been itching to paint her and have never done an oil painting of an animal and decided to take a stab at it with Emma. Here is the photograph in which I captured this beautiful girl

I'm extremely happy with how my first oil animal portrait turned out. I'm actually sketching more portraits. I think I will be doing a series of animal portraits over the winter :) It feels so so sooo good to be painting again. Its much needed therapy ♡
